I'm getting my hair cut next week, too! Well, next Saturday. I seem to have the opposite problem of you... I have very dark, naturally curly/frizzy hair. I straightened it for years but it just got too tiring to do every morning, so I've been trying to embrace the curls/frizz. I'm planning on asking my stylist easy ways to manage my hair and make it look like I put a lot of effort into it, when I really didn't. I'm also getting a few inches chopped off (I'm going for shoulder length this time... the boldest move I've ever made with my hair) so it should be interesting. I'm sure your stylist can give you some suggestions if you show up not knowing what you want. Have you ever thought of getting layers? They add a nice effect without being too drastic. Good luck next week! *hugs*
Opposite is right! :P I'm thinking of going short too - though I've been short before and I know how short I don't want to go again. If I had curly hair I'd go short and embrace the wild side! Hehehe :)

I had some layers put in previously, but they didn't do very much movement and then they started making my hair look really unkept :( I'm going to see what she suggests though, I made sure to ask for an appointment with a "stylish" - not just a run of the mill hair cutter.

Thanks for the luck! I wish you the same :) Will you take before & after pictures? I will if you will!
Try the perm. It'll be different and exciting and you may decide that that's enough change for the moment....then you could decide if you still want to change the color too after you get used to curls. I've thought about getting a perm too, especially when my hair was long. I always thought it'd be fun to have curly hair but my hair is so thick that if I did perm it, it'd turn into a poofy fro.
The cost is also an issue, how much do perms cost?
Sure! I will be sure to take before pictures that morning, and after pictures afterwards. We can both post them up for comparison. ^__^
I think perms aren't much more than a dye job...maybe $80? It depends on the salon you go to. Heck, a haircut can cost anything from $25-50+ depending on where you go.
I'd talk to your stylist and get their opinion... They've had the professional training and should be able to give you suggestions on what would work well with your hair and face. :D
We're going to have a nice, LONG chat :)
