The Christmas Toy

[this is good]
Thanks for sharing. I've never seen that. I didn't get to watch too much television until I was at uni -- kept that 9" b&w tv on all the time!

Love Henson!
I don't think I've seen that one, at least not that I remember. It looks cute, and I love Jim Henson.

My Christmas movie is Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas, and The Muppet Christmas Carol. I don't have the dvd of either, and I should hunt them up.

Emmet Otter is a Muppet creation too.

Well it was originally released in '86 - but only on TV. Its great, so if you can watch it DO!
You have to tell me, does the tiger get stuck?
I don't think I've seen either of those, I'm going to look for them!

What's funny is, I originally came to this post to mention Emmet Otter as my Christmas movie - you beat me to it, and I didn't even know there was anyone else out there who loved it as much as me! My family has watched that movie every Christmas for as long as I can remember!

maura_ea - Definitely check it out. Emmet Otter is a short little movie that is relentlessly adorable in a Muppetish way. Plus, it's got some nice music if you don't mind a bit of a twang in the vocals.

lol, I can't see the pics from here but I thought you were talking about the Toy with Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason. Now that was a great movie where the story started at Christmas.
I'm putting it on my list!
I remember that movie!
I procured Emmet Otter last year and my kids love it now too, we had a bout of Christmas movie watching over the summer, I spent half of July singing the songs from it!

It would be wonderful for them all to be released together as a set.

Oh and I forgot in my other post to mention "The Small One" One of my absolute favorite stories, have the book too. Found it at Kmart the other day in the Christmas dvd's.
