Vox Hunt: Drink Up

Comments

Hahahaha,
I used to be able to drink Guinness no problem, until on my birthday someone bought me the most horrible drink in the history of the world: Guiness with a shot of Baileys dropped in it (I think it was called an Irish Car-Bomb). Ick!
Anyways, I wouldn't trust people, I doubt Guinness tastes any better in the UK.
I think I'm going to have to drink it - even if it doesn't taste any better - because I'm there, does that make any sense? It like the fact that I'll have to try haggis.
OOOH! I love beer. But there's no comparison between what you buy at the store and getting it fresh. Guinness Stout is one beer I've never developed a taste for, but I will reserve final judgment until I've been to Scotland and had it fresh from the tap. And, yes, you will have to try haggis.
Guinness is Irish ;-) but sells well in the UK. Belhaven Best and Caley-80 are good, according to my taste buds. I trust you'll be trying the whisky. Funny, the worst pint of Guinness I've ever had was in the Guinness brewery in Dublin. The home of Guinness, lol. I'd recommend the extra cold over normal tap.
Haggis is just like a big sausage! Guinness is disgusting.
I know it's Irish you big lug! I'll try as you've suggested - extra cold over normal tap. We're going to the Guinness brewery while we're in London - I'll be sure to keep your worst pint in mind :P
I'm not a fan of sausage, and big sausages scares me more!
... Okay - are we still talking about the same thing?! Hehehe :P
[this is good]
omg! How could you hate Guinness?! It's so rich, and thick, like a chocolate malt that gets you drunk if you have too much. Wow. :) You even end up with those coffee like mustaches after the first sip.

I hope you get to try it at least from the tap in Scotland, I imagine its got to taste even better there.
Lol :) Your description is so cheerful! I'm going to definitely try it, and I hope that the many years its been since I've tried it have softened my dislike of it.
It tastes better if you like beer in general (I think it's a learned taste...I didn't use to like beer but now I do) and I agree that Guinness is alot better on tap than out of a can or bottle (I've heard that Guinness is better from the can rather than a bottle, unlike almost all other beers in existence). Dark beers are gooood. They have body and a rich, full flavor. Cavatica has it right! :D
Okay, I was just making sure. I guess the way I read the post didn't make it sound like you knew. And my lugs are perfectly normal thank you very much :-p Maybe it was the worst pint as they were free. The bottom of the barrel stuff, lol.
Add a shot of Tia Maria and it does taste like chocolate :-)

Ooh, that sounds good. I'll try that sometime. :)
I don't think so....*blushes*. Great minds think alike.
I do need to keep trying, because I always feel weird turning down beer. Everyone thinks I'm either a recovering drunk, pregnant, or overly-religous!!!
LOL, that's just weird....heavens forbid you don't like it? Like people aren't allowed to not like the taste of beer? Hehehe.
I know! People aren't accused of such actions for refusing meat!
