How many pair of shoes do you have? Out of those pairs, how many do you wear more than a few times a year?

I'm not a big shoe person, but this QotD reminds me that I really need to clean out my closet. There is a lot of stuff in there that I don't wear anymore - and a lot of stuff that's not right for the changing weather so I really need to cut back and store. Maybe I'll work on that this weekend?
Flickr pro users can now upload 90 second videos which has members complaining about everything from slowing Flickr down, lack of community consultation, and diminishing Flickr's inital purpose: photography. What do you think -- Do you support video on Flickr?
I've been on Flickr since this happened, and I haven't found any kind of slow down to affect me. I also think that they've done a great thing by limiting it to Pro users and only 90 seconds each. I don't think that they're loosing focus at this point, I just hope that it doesn't turn into another YouTube.
What are your travel plans for this spring/summer?
This is obvious.
SCOTLAND!!!
If you could travel back in time, which era would you visit and why?
Ever since reading the Gemma Doyle trilogy - I'd have to say the Victorian age - but only if I were rich. Normally I would say the Renaissance age as I love all of that, but recently I've become aware that I need to be able to shower any time I want and I just wouldn't be able to do that in the Renaissance age.
Other than TeamVox, who was the first person you added to your Vox neighborhood? What made you want to be their neighbor?

My first neighbor was Bookishly Fabulous, if I remember correctly. She's still a neighbor and has actually been upgraded to "friend" :) I added her for the same reasons I keep her - she's smart, funny, actually thinks about what she's posting and comments when it's appropriate.
What have you lost that you wish you still had?

My first Sony MiniDisc Player. This was given to me for Christmas one year from my parents - and I'll always remember how proud I was of my parents for finding such a neat, emerging technology without me suggesting it. Before MP3 players over-ran the market here in the US, they were competition for MDs and I chose MDs happily. I'm someone who loves to have the media in my hands. Good example? Paul actually found that PSP game WTF for free as a file - but I insisted on buying it so that I could have the disc.
Anyhow, I loved this little player with all my heart and I carried it proudly. One day it went missing though, and I've missed it ever since. I think it might have been stolen - though I can't really say for sure. I later bought another way - but it wasn't the same and I missed a lot of the advanced features that my Sony one had. When it broke I didn't replace it with another and eventually I simply bought a MP3 player.
I still think about that player though - and I miss it :(
What is your "role" in your family?
The Communicator. I'm always that person that everyone goes to, and I really do like that. The only frustrating thing is when the first party is talking to me about the second party and then the second party is talking to me about the first party - but they're not talking to each other. I love to help communication, not help stunt it.
Which popular slang expression drives you nuts?
Most of my hated slang is texting abbreviations that people use in real life. Like "OMG" - they don't say Oh My God (or whatever that might mean for you) - they say "O-M-G". Also, from watching ANTM, I'm getting sick of the word fierce.
Are you planning on doing any spring cleaning this year? If so, please share a cleaning tip you swear by.
What do I swear by? Have someone else do it!!! No, just kidding :) I'm actually pretty "particular" about how the cleaning is done around the apartment - which is a good thing because Paul is not. His family was very different from my family when it comes to cleaning - and I fight with it all the time.
All joking aside though, I was considering having someone come in and really clean the apartment before we left for Scotland. Both of the animals will be gone and to come home to a still clean apartment sounds like slipping into a hot bath after a long day - heaven. A lot of cleaning services have what are called "Spring Cleaning" specials and I'm hoping to jump on one of those. Who knows, maybe I'll ask my dad to arrange to have the carpets cleaned to. What better time, right?
Today is the last day there will be a Vox Hunt or a QotD!!!
Wait, wait... Today's April 1st, isn't it. Vox, are you pulling my leg?!?!?!?!
